RAMIRO GARZA, JR.
Ramiro Garza, Jr. is President of NTB Development which provide strategic support and construction services to business, industry and government in a range of practice areas including real estate, economic development and business development. Mr. Garza most recently served the Edinburg community for 15 years, first as Executive Director of the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation and then as City Manager. Mr. Garza’s previous municipal experience was also serving as Economic Development Administrator for the City of Port Isabel. Mr. Garza also served as business development specialist for the former University of Texas Pan American One Stop Capital Shop working with communities in Cameron County to improve economic development as part of the Rio Grande Valley Empowerment Zone program.
A native of Port Isabel, Mr. Garza graduated from Port Isabel High School and obtained a Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Brownsville. He is also a graduate of the Economic Development Institute from the University of Oklahoma and is certified in Economic Development from the International Economic Development Council.
Mr. Garza is very active in state and local community affairs having served as Chairman of the Rio South Texas Economic Council, advisory member of the Interstate 69 State of Texas Advisory Committee, director of the Texas Lyceum and board member of Workforce Solutions–Lower Rio Grande Valley. Mr. Garza currently serves as board member of the Rio Grande Valley Partnership, advisory board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV and advisory director of Lone Star National Bank.
